Faun offers products and services in the area of uncooled infrared detectors, targeting commercial markets such as process control, predictive maintenance, security and surveillance, and automotive applications. Faun is a fab-less company and employs a proprietary Silicon-On-IC (SOIC^TM) wafer platform that has been developed in cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. This 3D IC integrated MEMS platform enables the combination of high-performance bolometer materials with CMOS-based integrated circuit wafers, allowing us to manufacture the IR components at existing MEMS contract manufacturers.

Faun is licensing its generic SOIC^TM technology and offers technology transfer services. The SOIC^TH platform is an excellent manufacturing platform suitable for a variety of IC integrated MEMS products which are adressing multibillion dollar markets, including accelerometers, gyroscopes, microphones, micro-mirrors, pressure sensors and resonators.
